Devils Hole Trail: Located within State Game Lands 221 in Cresco. Devil’s Hole Trail is a 3.1-mile out and back trail. It is moderately difficult and unmarked. The trail crosses the creek multiple times, so wear shoes that can get wet. Parking is available in the State Game Lands lot off of Devil’s Hole Road.
Kurmes Preserve: The Pocono Heritage Land Trust manages the Kurmes Preserve, a 400-acre property in Cresco. The preserve is home to trails that are perfect for hiking or biking through the woods. Paradise Valley Road divides the preserve into two sections. The northern section is larger and features a 1.9-mile loop trail. It encompasses thick forests and vernal pools, and the rhododendrons and mountain laurel create stunning views when they’re in bloom. It’s also a popular
spot for fishing. Access to the northern section is available on Devils Hole Road.
Fieldstone Farm Preserve: Take a hike to the old stone farmhouse at Fieldstone Farm Preserve in Cresco. The Pocono Heritage Land Trust manages this 52-acre property. In addition to the old house, you’ll also come across peaceful forests, bubbling springs, and serene wetlands. Tank Creek runs through Fieldstone Farm Preserve, making it a popular spot for fishing. It’s also home to two ponds.
